A few big changes were introduced recently:
- A new area, Harcdon (levels 80-125) was added
- Shadow, a new PK clan led by Aris and Abomination was added
- The clan system was rewritten
The most significant change to clans is the introduction of No Looting PK clans. Any aspiring clanleaders can choose to make a No Looting PK guild if they desire. This basically means that members of this clan cannot loot, or be looted, by other PK’ers.
For Looting PK’ers, a new command, lootpk, was added. This lets you set whether you want No Looting PK’ers to be able to attack you. Of course, you can’t attack No Looting PK’ers unless you turn this back off.
Additionally, the display of people’s clans on the who screen has changed a bit. The clan tags are now displayed at the end of the character listing, and do not require the [ ] braces.
For more information about clans, please see the clist and showclan commands.
Clan leaders, please contact me if you would like your name (see clist) and who tags changed to something else. This time around, of course, it will be free. Please also contact me or Sina rather immediately if you would like to change the type of your clan given this latest change.
We hope you enjoy these changes — don’t hesitate to give us feedback, good or bad!
Looks like I acted a little too early on verbose brief. While it’s certainly a cool feature, it doesn’t actually do what it’s supposed to do, and achieving the desired effect is nearly impossible without rewriting large parts of the combat code or removing the old, non-shortened style. I don’t really want to do either at the moment, so I’m going to have to take back this feature for the time being.
Sorry for the tease :-)
